Book Review: The Hiding Place by Corrie Ten Boom
Summary: This story is a Dutch woman’s account of when Nazi Germany invaded Holland. For me, the book started out a little slow with character building. As the story progressed it captured my imagination and heart as many the characters each found their own individual way of fighting against the rule of Nazi Germany. This incredible true story, has a lot of underlining themes on how food storage and emergency supplies would be useful in trying times. Corrie, a Christian woman, who’s love for God is masterfully written on every page, sets up a considerable network of people to undermine the German Occupation and save hundreds of her Jewish neighbors. Eventually, this simple watchmaker is betrayed and sent to prison and then to a concentration camp. Throughout all her hardships, her compassion for others and her faith sustain her and carry her from one mission of peace to another.

Preppers Survive ideas after reading this book: The importance of developing a wide network of friends. Have more than one compact bug out bag. I am considering the importance of good hiding spots for people and things.
